Welcome to Giving Back Through The Lens 2011 Families

I have to say this is one of my favorites session of the year. My wife and I love giving back to the community and this is one of the way's we do it. Giving Back Through The Lens started by Nathan Choate is a way for us to give back to those who are less fortunate. And since we are photographers our gift, a 15-30 minutes session and prints to each of the selected families for free, yup, high quality images taken by professional photographers to those who couldn't other wise afford our services. They also get a CD/DVD containing the final images from the portrait session. How good is that! I love the expressions on the families faces when they see the images on the back of our camera's. Just priceless! The sessions aren't that long, but long enough to get some fabulous images, get to know a little about each family and enough time for us to figure out how to get them to show off there beautiful smiles. I also love the photographers, makeup artists, admin support and everyone else it takes to put this on. The girls from Xenon that helped by putting on makeup and doing our clients hair was fantastic. Giving each family all the love they needed and making them look great in the process. As an example go to my previous post and check out the fun images from the photographers that helped out. You can see how much fun we had in between families. www.jimmydouglas.com/blog/?p=3037 For many families this is there first experience with photographers, and we wanted to make sure they had a wonderful experience, lot's of laughter and a special gift to take home and hang on their wall.
